Compact and evergreen, Photinia fras. Little Red Robin forms a dense mound of glossy foliage with brilliant red new growth that matures to deep green. In late spring it can produce clusters of small white flowers if not trimmed. Ideal for small gardens, containers or low informal hedging, it does best in sun or light shade and in moist but welldrained, moderately fertile soil. Trim lightly after the flush of new growth to maintain shape and encourage fresh colour; choose a sheltered spot for the best leaf display.
