A low, spreading evergreen rock rose with silvery, felted foliage and showy white flowers each marked with a rich purple blotch at the base, carried over early to late summer. Best in full sun and very well-drained soil, especially light sandy or chalky ground; copes with poor fertility and summer drought once established. Ideal for sunny banks, gravel or Mediterranean-style plantings; avoid hard pruning and lightly trim after flowering to maintain a neat mound. Typical size around 60 cm tall and wider spread.
