Originating from the tropical and subtropical regions of South Africa, this all-green variety is prized for its rich, glossy foliage and vigorous, easy-going nature.
Unlike its variegated relatives, the Green Spider Plant features solid green, arching leaves with a smooth, satin finish and no pale striping. The pure green colouring allows it to photosynthesise more efficiently, making it even more tolerant of lower light conditions and faster-growing than the variegated types.
Mature plants form dense, fountain-like rosettes and regularly produce trailing stems bearing tiny white flowers and baby plantlets (offsets). These dangling offshoots make Chlorophytum comosum (Green Form) a perfect choice for hanging baskets, shelves, or plant stands where its graceful shape can be fully appreciated.
Thrives in bright, indirect light but adapts well to medium and low-light conditions. Avoid strong direct sunlight, which may cause leaf tips to brown.
