A refined hellebore from the HGC Ice NRoses series, producing outward-facing rose-pink blooms from mid-winter into early spring above leathery, semi-evergreen leaves. Best in partial shade in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil, and tolerant of chalk and heavier clay if improved. Ideal for woodland edges, shady mixed borders and winter containers; plant near paths to enjoy the early colour. Remove old leaves as buds rise and avoid waterlogged sites.
