Native to the rainforests of Central and South America, it has long been a favourite among indoor gardeners thanks to its attractive trailing foliage and forgiving nature.
The plant is characterised by its glossy, heart-shaped leaves, which are typically 510 cm long and a rich emerald green. The leaves grow alternately along slender, trailing stems that can extend several metres in length. This gives the plant a graceful, cascading appearance, making it perfect for hanging baskets, tall shelves, or training up a moss pole or trellis.
Compact when young but vigorous as it matures, Philodendron Scandens is both decorative and versatile. Its lush greenery adds a natural, jungle-like charm to interiors, while its adaptability makes it suitable for both beginners and experienced plant enthusiasts.
