Pieris Flaming Silver is a compact evergreen noted for striking variegated foliage edged silver, with vivid red new growth in spring, followed by pendent clusters of small white bell-shaped flowers in early spring. Best in partial shade and acidic (ericaceous), humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil; ideal for containers with ericaceous compost or woodland/shaded borders. Slow growing, eventually reaching around 11.5m, and benefits from shelter from cold, drying winds.
